Previously it took me about 3.5 hours to clean my driveway. Now it takes just over an hour. But best of all my back doesn't hurt!!!
We mounted this in a work truck and it works great.It is heavy duty, easy to use, great price for the product.
So far this has been a reliable product that has performed within its limitations.
IT WORKED VEYY WELL IN REPLACEING THE ORIGINAL HOSE AND WAND FOR MY HUSKY 1750 PSI. SHIPPING WAS FAST AND I WOULD BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
My other dirtblaster had lasted about 11 years. The nozzle would stick occasionally. The new one works, well, just like new and gives my Karcher power washer the extra boost it needs to get the nasties off my Vette and Harley before I wash it or even when I don't have time for a complete was.
I just bought this machine today 6/3/09 so I haven't had extensive experience with it.However, from what I've seen so far it should be a nice machine for the home handyman.I got it out of the box and put the handle on it and put the wand together along with the hose.Pretty straight forward and no complicated maneuvers required.I put oil in the crankcase and gas in the tank then pulled the handle.It started the FIRST TIME!I was impressed.I then proceeded to clean off my riding lawnmower to give it a test.I turned the mower on its side and it ripped the old caked grass right out of the mower with no problem.I then adjusted the wand for a "fan" spray and sprayed a few boards on my house to see how well it would take off the old paint in preparation for a new coat.Did the job just fine without damaging the wood.I wasn't sure how I was going to like the adjustable nozzle, which goes from a straight stream to a nice wide fan and everything in-between.But I do like it.So far it looks like a winner.I have a lot of chores scheduled for this machine this summer so I'll know more by fall but so far it looks good.
I originally bought just the "unloader".While that was what it wasn't doing correctly, it didn't fix the problem...and it cost almost as much as the entire unit.All I did was bolt it up and swap out the plug and go.Don't go cheap, get the whole unit and be done with it!
This item doesn't state that it will only work with a pressure washer. I was looking for a water broom to work with my regular hose. I have a pressure washer and I was looking for a broom to use when I didn't need the pressure washer.

I bought this washer from my local True Value for ~ $700.00 and I've cleaned my 20' X 36' deck with it.It starts easily (if you unload the pump by pulling the trigger when starting like the manual tells you) and works beautifully. I only have ~ 2days use on the washer and haven't let it run for more that 5 sec without pulling the trigger because I don't want to have to rebuild the pump & seals.
The part they sent was in a bag with the part number as listed (187879GS), but was nothing like what is shown in the listing.The unloader I need is exactly as shown, with a threaded brass body, a black plastic shaft, and a stainless piston with O-ring at the end.What they sent had a black plastic threaded body and 2 smooth brass cups.
The AR 240 is a well built, reliable home pressure washer.To be sure it can't be compared to a 3000 psi gas powered washer, but for an electric unit it gets the job done.I have cleaned grime and mold off of wrought iron work, crud off of patio tile and so on.I am pleased with the results.
The brush kit works fine, but if you are buying this with the idea that you aren't going to have to put much muscle into cleaner your care, you will be disappointed.The connectors are also made of plastic.My first one snapped in about 30 seconds.
The Comet AXT pump I purchased to replace the OEM pump on my pressure washer (blown head bolts!) is much better than the original. It installed in less than 15 minutes and is significantly more powerful the OEM version.
It looks a lot more sturdy and functional then it is. I bought it last night from Cabela's and brought it home to clean my boat, ATV's and my drive way. The assembly was super easy. After adding 30W oil and gas I followed the instructions to start it and it was a pain! It took at least 6 pulls and every other pull you had to squeeze the pressure wand trigger to release the water pressure or else you couldn't pull the start cord (with each pull the compression builds up and only by squeezing the wand can you release it). After I finally got it started (according to the instructions) I let it warm up a reasonable amount of time and then moved the choke lever to "run" and it immediately stalled. I ended up running it for about 30 min in the "choke" mode since the "run" mode never worked.
Purchased elsewhere for $150.00,i used it to wash siding on home,car port concrete surface and a small boat. Total of approximately 10 Hrs.before the pump seized up and shut down the unit.STANLEY OWNERS MANUEL puts you in touch with GXI , the company that supplies the electric motor,pump, etc..for this piece of junk.They wanted me to send them the entire unit back to them and my credit card number and they would decide how to handle the problem which could cost as much as a new unit and all i wanted was for them to send me a new pump assembly.I have searched the Internet over and over and CAN NOT find a replacement.I WOULD LIKE STANLEY TO PROVIDE THE CUSTOMER WITH A PRODUCT THAT THEY COULD PURCHASE REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR.MAYBE A PRODUCT CUSTOMER SATISFICATION PERSON FROM STANLEY COULD HELP OUT HERE.I purchase a lot from Amazon because of their return policy and good pricing and they should know about this JUNK.I have seen documentation from people with the same problem.
this is a small and light weight washer,starts easy and works strong,only the hose is kind of short for going all around the car,the spray gun is not strong enough mine is broken in half in the middle ,inner pipe is broken in less than 2 mounths,
This attachment is a must have.Works great on concrete quickly cleans and powers away the dirt.
I've had this washer since 05 and it's been OK.2 years ago it wouldn't start due to a carb problem and I just noticed that it's making a very loud ringing noise.Another trip to the mechanic.
We are campers and just got into the "Washers" game. Our son-in-law built us our "Washers" boxes for travel. We tried finding washers this size, but couldn't and the smaller ones we painted chipped off most the paint. These have stayed very nice in color and don't chip. Thanks!
